Our experienced and talented Planning Consultants will ensure your project has the very best chance of success - devising creative and innovative solutions to complex planning problems. They bring with them a broad range of experience, regularly dealing with a variety of projects from multiple sectors.
The team focused approach to problem solving is key to what we do here, with all our consultants having input in every project we tackle. This ensures no potential solutions are overlooked and success is achieved for our clients.
Dan Roycroft
BA (Hons) MA MRTPI
Director
Dan is a Chartered Town Planner with extensive experience of projects in residential and commercial sectors. Having graduated from the University of the West of England with a Master’s Degree in Town and Country Planning, Dan gained experience in a variety of projects and sectors working for private practices, before moving on to head up the in-house Planning Team for a fast growing development company. Here he gained an excellent understanding of the need to gain consents that are both deliverable and buildable and is highly experienced at balancing this against the requests of Local Planning Authorities.
In 2016, Dan became a Director of a successful South of England Planning Consultancy, building an impressive list of planning permissions achieved and appeals won, before taking the leap to found Atlas Planning Group at the start of 2018. Dan’s work has him involved in sites across the country, but predominantly in London and the South.
Rebecca Davis
BSc (Hons) MSc MRTPI
Principal Planner
Rebecca is an experienced Chartered Town Planner. Following a Masters in Town and Country Planning from the University of Plymouth, Rebecca took a role on the planning team of a successful property developer. Here she gained considerable knowledge and experience of planning in the context of the private developer sector with considerable pressure to get results. Rebecca previously worked as a Senior Planner for a busy planning consultancy, advising clients on a variety of projects from different sectors.
She brings this considerable wealth of knowledge and experience to Atlas Planning Group and uses it to provide our clients with expert, no nonsense advice. Rebecca has a particular interest in the historic environment and her input on proposals relating to Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas is invaluable.
Rebecca’s role as the mentor lead at Atlas Planning Group showcases her commitment to cultivating talent within our team. Rebecca’s deep understanding of planning policy and extensive background in mentorship, ensures that every new addition to our team, regardless of their level, be it an intern, a graduate, or seasoned planner, can thrive and feel supported throughout their time with us. Zoe Wilkinson
MSc MRTPI
Associate Planner
Zoe is a Chartered Town Planner with experience across a range of sectors including residential, retail, commercial and leisure. After graduating with a Masters in Spatial and Regional Planning from the University of Birmingham in 2014, Zoe gained experience working as Town Planner for a global real estate services and investment organisation. Here, she worked in large multi-disciplinary project teams, working under pressure to achieve exceptional planning outcomes.
Zoe brings a considerable amount of experience working in both the residential and commercial sector, providing trusted and detailed advice to clients. As an Associate, Zoe leads project teams on our most complex proposals and acts as a mentor for junior team members.
Jamie Alley
BA (Hons) AssocRTPI
Senior Planner
Jamie is an Associate Member of the RTPI with a strong foundation in strategic planning. He graduated from Westminster University with an undergraduate degree in Planning & Architecture. With a diverse career path, Jamie began as a town planning apprentice in the public sector before venturing into the private sector at a housebuilder and eventually transitioning into consultancy.
Throughout Jamie’s career, he has amassed a wealth of experience in various aspects of planning, including site promotion, planning applications, appraisals and settlement/site searches. This breadth of experience has equipped Jamie with a comprehensive understanding of the planning landscape, allowing him to navigate projects with ease.
Currently serving as an Associate Member of the RTPI, Jamie is committed to professional development and is actively working towards achieving chartered status in the near future.
Oscar Heasman
BA (Hons) MSc
Graduate Planner
Oscar joined Atlas Planning Group in October 2023 after graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Geography at the University of the West of England and a Distinction in Urban Planning.
Oscar's academic achievements include "Best Dissertation" in 2022, "Best Overall Project," and "Best User Interactivity" at UWE's Annual Undergraduate GIS Conference in 2022. His commitment to academic excellence earned him a place on the prestigious Dean's List.
Oscar is particularly interested in geospatial data analysis and has been gaining experience in conducting site appraisals and preparing planning statements for various projects. With guidance from his Atlas mentor, he's actively working towards becoming a Chartered Town Planner within the next two years.
Bex Roycroft

Business Development Manager
Bex is our skilled Business Development Manager, with over 10 years of experience in communication, problem-solving, and team management. Her passion for developing effective business systems and strategies that maximise productivity and minimise costs for our customers has been invaluable. Since joining our team, Bex has been instrumental in implementing new initiatives that have boosted our company's performance and enabled us to exceed our customers' expectations.
In addition, her background in education and lead in professional mentoring has been the key driver in developing Atlas’ Graduate and Young Planners Mentorship Programme which delivers high quality professional development and business skills training.
