The Opportunity
Atlas Planning Group is an exciting and fast-growing practice, and as such this is an excellent opportunity to join the business at a relatively young stage, where there will be opportunities for advancement.
Our work is interesting and varied and due to our unrivalled success, we continue to secure new clients and new, challenging, and exciting projects. Tailored training will be provided, and we encourage staff to expand their knowledge and grow into particular areas of planning that they find most interesting.
A competitive salary, commensurate with candidate experience, will be offered. The candidate should be MRTPI qualified and have at least 3 years’ experience working in a private sector consultancy role, but those with less experience will be considered.
Primary roles and responsibilities will include:
- Providing clients will planning advice and preparing fee proposals.
- Preparation, submission and active management of planning applications and appeals.
- Managing our associated external consultant team
The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:
- The ability to positively engage with clients to provide robust and professional advice.
- Have a solutions-focused mind-set and a drive to overcome problems and difficulties.
- A drive to meet client expectations and promote the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to competently articulate planning arguments, with a strong competency in report and letter writing.
- Ability to work well independently and within and supporting a team.
- Ability to manage numerous projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
- An excellent understanding of planning policy at National, Regional (e.g., London Plan) and Local level.
- Strong aptitude for the use of office based software.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
